I hate not even thought of this:

With the influx of electric cars coming out, what charges are rental companies going to enforce on customers that bring cars back with hardly any charge left?
Not only will they have to worry about the cost of energy to recharge the car, but I'm sure it will take a significant amount of time as well, which may leave the next customer waiting for the car for hours.
Perhaps they might put the charging fee in the rental. Kind of like some rental currently has this service that will fill up the full tank of gas for you if you don't fill it when you return the car.
ReplyDeleteThere could also be a concept of extra/spare batteries like spare tyres that are available with cars today. So there are two batteries with every car. One is charged when the other one is being used. This will increase the utilization capacity as the cars will not sit idle waiting for its battery to get charged again.
