Looks like all the automobile companies are transforming dashboards into mini-computers running Internet-connected programs to find new ways to differentiate their vehicles from the competition's.
Ford Motor Co. debuted an app that will allow owners of its new Focus electric car to schedule charging times from a smartphone. Toyota Motor Co. unveiled a program that lets motorists make reservations via booking site OpenTable.com.
