Android Passes iPhone in Total U.S. Subscribers

The most recent comScore data is now available and guess what? Android has passed iPhone in total U.S. subscribers.

Here is a link to the TechCrunch report.

In brief, "Comscore estimates there are 61.5 million smartphone subscribers in the U.S., and 26 percent of them own an Android phone versus 25 percent with an iPhone."

Way to go Google. Now, iPhone has to open up to additional mobile service providers. So long at&t exclusivity! It's about time someone pushed Apple. (Image courtesy of TechCrunch)
