Google's shopping tool
Google's new online clothes/accessories shopping forum is veering off the "geeky nerd" path and heading onto the runway:
What a great site! Online shopping for clothing across sites is very difficult and this site supports Google's vision of 'organizing the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful'. Google will profit from the partnership with retails and designers that are featured on the site.
A great idea. Hopefully the websites and designers being showcased will grow. As google builds user profiles it can clearly demonstrate the value to retailers as google will be able to target shoppers with personalized offerings based on taste. As of today, there are very few sites that learn someones fashion likes and dislikes and then tailors offerings to show what really appeals to you.
Anyone would like to answer what google will gain from this?
