On continuting the Net Neutrality Discussion here is another news where Netflix is blaming Comcast for disruption/slowness of their service. As per Comcast ,Netflix users are using around 60-70% of bandwidth in the evening making a heavy load on their infrastrure and that's why they wanted to charge this toll on Netflix. It will be interesting to see how comcast will treat other Big players like google and apple when they will enter in to Media Streaming industry.

That's a good question. The big problem is that Comcast really needs to upgrade their infrastructure to deal with what's coming and they don't want to pay for it all by themselves. Because L3 and Netflix just happen to be the big front-runners, they have to deal with this problem.
ReplyDeleteInternet service is changing and BW requirements for consumers are growing exponentially due to the number of devices that connect to wifi.
ReplyDeleteComcast really needs to adjust to the new market requirements to improve their infrastructure. If they aren't able to keep up, then another competitor is going to come in and push comcast out - hopefully that would happen. =)
