Some of the safety concerns inherent in the new MyFord Touch system have drawn negative reviews from Consumer Reports. As highlighted in our discussions yesterday, this article agrees that the next generation of car software systems will focus on ease of use and safety controls and warns consumers against becoming early adopters of technology until these safety concerns have been mitigated.

This article is in line with my post- Is GM Onstar answer to foreign auto maker- Article says "if you're an early adopter, you're going to get burned". so companies like Ford and GM are experimenting and investing money in R&D. When it becomes reliable technology. Every auto company will come up with this and it will become default standard at much lower cost.
